Bank of Chengdu (BoCD), formally established in December 1996, is a regional joint-stock commercial bank with state-owned capital accounting for the majority of its diversified equity structure. Since 2008, BoCD has established strategic partnership with Hong Leong Bank of Malaysia. On January 31, 2018, BoCD was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), becoming the first listed corporate bank in Sichuan Province and the 8th listed city commercial bank on A-stock market in China.
At present, with RMB 3.612 billion registered capital and over 6000 employees, BoCD has established 13 branches in cities such as Chongqing, Xi’an, Guang’an, Ziyang, Meishan, Neijiang, Nanchong, Yibin, Leshan, Deyang, A’ba and Luzhou, 31 direct subbranches within Chengdu administrative area, and over 190 banking offices. It incorporated Sichuan Jincheng Consumer Finance Co. Ltd., the first consumer finance company in Midwestern China, and Jiangsu Baoying Jincheng Rural Bank Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Mingshan Jincheng Rural Bank Co., Ltd.. Apart from that, it also became a shareholder of the Bank of Tibet.

In the latest ranking published by the British magazine The Banker in 2020, BoCD ranks 254th among the top 1000 commercial banks around the world.
